Characterizing the landscape of gene process dependencies in cancer
A revised BioBombe preprint uses machine learning to identify groups of genes that cancer cells depend on, then links those dependencies to drug sensitivity and tests a cladribine prediction in pediatric glioma cells. The approach could broaden target discovery from individual genes to vulnerable biological processes, with new RNA-seq modelling and wet-lab validation added in this update. Killing cultured cancer cells does not establish clinical benefit or justify using cladribine to treat these patients.
