TechBio Today is responsible for the personal information described here. This notice covers visits to the website, newsletter subscriptions, preference changes, unsubscribe requests, and messages sent to us.

Links may take you to journals, news organizations, social platforms, or company sites. Their privacy practices apply once you leave TechBio Today.

Newsletter data

Your email address; when, where, and under which notice you subscribed; your confirmation and subscription status; delivery frequency; email delivery events; and any optional role, organization type, broad region, or topic preferences you choose to provide.

Technical data

Our hosting and security providers may process an IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, and diagnostic logs needed to deliver and protect the service. TechBio Today does not currently use advertising cookies or cross-site behavioral advertising.

Messages

If you contact us, we receive the information in your message and the details needed to reply. Please do not send confidential medical information or other sensitive personal data.

We use personal information to confirm and deliver subscriptions, honor preferences and suppression requests, answer messages, prevent abuse, maintain security, diagnose failures, and understand readership in aggregate.

Where applicable, newsletter delivery relies on your consent. Security, service operation, and aggregate measurement rely on our legitimate interest in running a reliable publication. We will ask before using your information for a materially different purpose.

Service providers may process data only to host the site, store subscriber records, deliver email, run scheduled jobs, monitor reliability, or protect the service. The planned production stack uses Vercel for hosting, Supabase for subscriber records, Inngest for scheduled work, and Resend for email delivery.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect the service or its readers, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell or rent subscriber addresses, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Some providers may process information outside your country. Where required, transfers use contractual or other legally recognized safeguards.

Active subscriber records are kept while the subscription remains active. Afterward, we retain only what is reasonably needed for consent, suppression, security, dispute, and legal records, ordinarily for no more than 730 days unless a longer period is required by law.

Confirmation and management tokens expire and are stored in hashed form. Delivery and security logs are kept only for operational and legal needs. Aggregate information that can no longer identify a person may be retained longer.

Every newsletter includes preference and unsubscribe links. Unsubscribe requests take effect in TechBio Today before provider synchronization, and necessary suppression records may remain so we do not email you again.

Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your information; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a decision. Contact the privacy contact published when live subscriptions open. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

TechBio Today is intended for a professional and general adult audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date and, when appropriate, communicated to subscribers before they take effect. Questions and privacy requests may be sent to the privacy contact published when live subscriptions open.
