Source directory
Where the record begins.
Sources are selected for relevance, proximity to the underlying event, technical usefulness, and lawful access. Inclusion does not imply endorsement, and source type remains visible on the resulting coverage.
Source directory
The publications, records, and voices we follow.
The directory includes journals, wire services, official records, independent reporting, and selected expert commentary. Company and laboratory announcements appear only on the coverage that uses them, rather than as a public company list.

Source trail
One event, several kinds of evidence.
A financing, clinical result, collaboration, or company event appears once even when several publications cover it. Its source trail starts with the direct record and then adds independent reporting and useful technical context. Each cluster exposes the available links directly.
- Primary
- Journal article, company or counterparty announcement, regulator notice, trial registry, or filing.
- Filing or registry
- Structured public records that can confirm dates, amounts, status, endpoints, and other material facts.
- Coverage
- Independent reporting from outlets such as Fierce Biotech, BioPharma Dive, the Associated Press, or The Wall Street Journal—linked directly and labeled separately from the announcing organization.
- Technical or context
- Earlier versions, protocols, code, data, model cards, prior studies, and analysis useful for interpretation.
Selection
What earns a place in the source mix.
A source enters coverage when it is relevant to AI and biology, close enough to the underlying event to add evidence, lawful to access, and clear enough to attribute. Rewrites that add no reporting or technical value are excluded by default.
Official laboratory and company channels are useful evidence of what an organization announced, but they do not independently verify the organization’s claims. Independent reporting and technical material are kept separate so readers can see the difference.
- Primary source
- The paper, filing, regulator notice, repository, project page, or organization that originated the event.
- Independent reporting
- Reporting produced outside the announcing organization, used for corroboration and context.
- Technical material
- Documentation, model cards, code, datasets, benchmarks, methods, and related research.
- Selected commentary
- Relevant expert discussion tied to a published item; contextual rather than evidence, representative coverage, or endorsement.
Compliance
Links and provenance, not copied publications.
- Respect robots directives, source terms, API policies, rate limits, and attribution requirements.
- Do not bypass paywalls or reproduce full third-party articles.
- Use source-supported excerpts only when permitted and write original summaries.
- Retain identifiers and source links needed to verify claims and honor corrections or removals.
- Pause or remove a source when its terms, authenticity, or reliability become uncertain.
